Lechwerke (LEW), an electricity supplier headquartered in Augsburg, Germany, announced that it is testing two small pilot vertical agricultural photovoltaic integrated systems with output powers of 3 and 6 kW respectively.

LEW hopes to use these projects to gain initial experience on the integration of agricultural and solar PV systems and compare its performance with traditional ground installation projects. LEW believes that they can be installed in flower areas and create ecological micro-habitats.
